Zero Tolerance Policy for Intoxicating Substances

This Zero Tolerance Policy for Intoxicating Substances outlines the guidelines and expectations for employees of PEAK CARE LLC a private car transportation company, regarding the use of intoxicating substances while on duty. The safety of our employees, passengers, and the general public is our top priority. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Policy:

1. Scope: This policy applies to all employees of PEAK CARE LLC, including drivers, administrative staff, and management personnel, while they are on duty or representing the company in any capacity.
2. Prohibited Substances: The use, possession, distribution, or being under the influence of intoxicating substances, including but not limited to alcohol, illegal drugs, and prescription medications not prescribed to the employee, is strictly prohibited.
3. Pre-Employment Screening: All prospective employees must undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Individuals who test positive for prohibited substances will not be hired.
4. Random Testing: Random drug and alcohol testing may be conducted on employees throughout their employment with PEAK CARE LLC. Refusal to submit to testing will be considered a violation of this policy.
5. Signs of Impairment: Employees are expected to report to work sober and fit for duty. Any signs of impairment, including but not limited to slurred speech, unsteady gait, or the smell of alcohol or drugs, will result in immediate removal from duty and testing.
6. Vehicle Searches: PEAK CARE LLC reserves the right to conduct searches of company vehicles at any time to ensure compliance with this policy. Employees found to be in possession of intoxicating substances will face disciplinary action.
7. Reporting: Employees or Riders who suspect a rider of being under the influence of intoxicating substances are required to report their concerns to management & Dallas County immediately.
